Air Fryer Tajin Green Beans

Air Fryer Tajin Green Beans is the perfect, healthy side dish that you can serve with dinner or as a healthy snack. With just four simple ingredients, this recipe is super easy to make and packed full of flavor. These green beans are slightly crispy from the air fryer and have a spicy and tangy flavor from the Tajin seasoning. When I make this recipe, I honestly have a hard time not eating them all myself and will just pick them up with my hands and eat them like French fries!

What is Tajin?

Tajin definitely is the star ingredient of this dish. This seasoning has become more widely available here in the states and can be found in most grocery stores. Tajin is a spice blend of chili peppers, lime, and salt. It adds a delicious spicy and tangy flavor to any dish you add it to. I will add Tajin to sautéed vegetables and even fruit (it is delicious sprinkled on mango and watermelon). If you haven’t tried Tajin, I highly recommend you buy some!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb green beans Washed and trimmed.
  • 1/2 tsp olive oil
  • 1/2-3/4 tsp Tajin*
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the green beans, oil, Tajin and pepper. Stir well to coat each grean bean.
  • Cook green beans in 2-3 batches, depending on the size of your air fryer. You do not want to overcrowd the beans.
  • Spray your air fryer with non-stick spray. Cook at 390 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 minutes. Gently stir and cook for another 2 minutes.
  • Check the green beans for doneness. The green beans should be slightly softened and browned. Cook one more minute if needed.

Notes

*The amount of Tajin you use will be dependent on how spicy you want the green beans. I like spice, so I add 3/4 tsp to the green beans. Use less if you do not want as much spice. If you are unsure,  I would recommend starting with 1/2 tsp of Tajin.  After the green beans cook, taste for seasoning and sprinkle with more Tajin before serving if desired.
