A Hotel California has been my new favorite cocktail. This simple drink consists of tequila, elderflower liqueur, and fresh lemon and orange juice. It is easy to make and incredibly refreshing, perfect on a hot day. I love any drink that has elderflower liqueur in it, it has a delightfully distinct taste that works beautifully in this cocktail. I highly recommend freshly squeezing your lemon and orange juice, because there are not many ingredients in this recipe, using fresh juice really makes a difference.
MAIN INGREDIENT LIST FOR A HOTEL CALIFORNIA
- Tequila – You can use silver or reposed tequila, whichever is your preference.
- St Germain – This is an elderflower liqueur.
- Fresh Lemon Juice
- Fresh Orange Juice
HOW TO MAKE A HOTEL CALIFORNIA
To make my Hotel California, I start by squeezing lemon and orange juice. Then, in a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add all of your ingredients – tequila, St Germain, lemon juice, and orange juice. Shake for 30 seconds and serve over ice. I like to garnish with an orange slice.
